Movie Review 'Shrek Forever After' Happily Ever After Ain't All It

Why Rumpelstiltskin is my favorite villain in the Shrekverse/Ogreverse. All the Shrek antagonists have some sort of merit as villains, in my opinion. However, I find Rumpelstiltskin to be the most well-written. First and foremost, he's a fairy tale original. He's not unique to the Ogreverse and is pretty much the same as the fairy tale iteration.

Rumpelstiltskin (or simply Rumpel) is a minor villain in Shrek the Third and the main antagonist of Shrek Forever After. He is a derisive and fraudster deal maker who grants wishes/deals to his customers, who later become his items because he twists the deal in his own way. Rumpelstiltskin is extremely tricky, short-tempered, hateful, and power.
